The Blackstone River, one of 14 American
Heritage Rivers, flows between Worcester, Massachusetts and
Providence Rhode Island. The John H. Chafee Blackstone River
Valley National Heritage Corridor tells the story of the
river's role in starting New England's textile industry and
the American Industrial Revolution.

Your day will begin at leisurely pace, with
coffee and muffins at the Blackstone Valley Visitor Center
then view the award-winning film "Hidden in the Blackstone
Valley" for a preview of the Valley's rich history. After
the film, your group will board a shuttle to the Festival
Pier. |

Experience the Rhode Island Chinese Dragon
Boat Races and Taiwan Day Festival. Nothing compares to the
rhythm of the pounding drum beat and the splashing sound of
22 paddlers racing to the finish line.
Relish in the Asian culture of with dance,
music, arts and crafts, and cuisine. Sponsored by the
Pawtucket Arts Festival, Taiwan ROC, Memorial Hospital, the
Rhosde Island Sports Council, the Taiwan Visitor
Association, NY Taipei Economic Cultural Office Boston and
the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council; this is perfect way
to end your summer. |
