The Blackstone River is the
centerpiece of the 400,000-acre Blackstone River Valley. One
of 14 American Heritage Rivers, the powerful Blackstone
flows between Worcester, Massachusetts and Providence Rhode
Island. As a special kind of place called a national
heritage corridor, it tells the story of the river's role in
starting New England's textile industry and the American
Industrial Revolution.

9:00 am Coffee
and Muffins |
| Your
day begins at leisurely pace, with coffee and muffins at the
Blackstone Valley Visitor Center then view the award-winning film
"Hidden in the Blackstone Valley" which describes the Valley's
history.
|
|
10:00 am Pre-Game Cruise Aboard the Blackstone Valley Explorer
|
| Enjoy
a riverboat cruise on the Blackstone Valley Explorer as a narrator
tells the remarkable comeback story of this America Heritage River
whose powerful waterfalls turned the waterwheels of the nation's
earliest factories.
|
|
12:00 Get Ready to Enjoy Some Old-Fashioned Baseball |
| Baseball is still the real McCoy at
McCoy Stadium, home of the Pawtucket Red Sox. Recent
renovations have not stolen any of the charm, affordability or
tradition of Triple-A baseball's oldest
stadium.
|
|
4:00 pm Post-Game
Dining Experience |
| After
the game, savor a Blackstone Valley tradition, "Chicken Family
Style", at one of our many fine restaurants.
A hearty meal that is served only in the
Blackstone Valley, this dining experience started in the 1930's among
the Italian immigrants playing Bocco on Sunday afternoons.
