The Blackstone River, one of 14 American
Heritage Rivers, flows between Worcester, Massachusetts and
Providence Rhode Island. The John H. Chafee Blackstone River
Valley National Heritage Corridor tells the story of the
river's role in starting New England's textile industry and
the American Industrial Revolution.

then view the award-winning film "Hidden in the Blackstone
Valley" which describes the Valley's history. |

At Slater Mill Museum you will explore
three authentic historical buildings and garden. Slater Mill
interpreters dressed as men and women of the 19th century -
all eager to share their knowledge of the period and the
impact the Industrial Revolution had on America.

Enjoy a riverboat cruise of the Valley
Falls wilderness area aboard the Blackstone Valley Explorer.
Hear the remarkable comeback story of this American Heritage
River that once powered the waterwheels of industry. Herons,
ospreys, fish and other wildlife are returning to the waters
of the Blackstone River.

Gaming at Twin River

You know the river's history, now it's time
dine, play and win at New England's newest gaming and
entertainment complex. You have your choice from an Irish
Pub to Buffet style dining. Spend the rest of the afternoon
